Unexpectedly pleasurable gig

Last night's gig was both ridiculous and marvellous.

• My short acoustic set included the future pop hits "Paedophile Immigrants Selling Drugs To Our Kids" and "J-Lo Is A Rich Materialist Bitch And Represents The Block In No Way Whatsoever", songs I don't normally play
• I kicked off at 11:50pm, possibly my latest performance ever  (never mind on a Wednesday!)
• My acoustic guitar got its anus pulled out (I would explain, but that would ruin the fun)
• I got to wear my Interrobang design T-shirt (less rude than it sounds - buy it here, go on)
• I was joined by Tod Gareth and Danny from Throw It To The Fire to play some full-band songs including "Animals", "Lighthouses", "Boy With X-Ray Eyes", "Lighten Up, No Thanks" and of course "I Believe In Dinosaurs" - completely unrehearsed and without knowing until last night. Rock and roll.

Had an amazing time rocking out and I'm very grateful to the TITTF boys for the experience, especially on the Bodega stage which has a great PA system. Incidentally, they had a marvellous gig too, playing with both parting bassist Aaron and new bassist Chris - check them out online and come see them live at Bar Medusa this Friday 15th (or next Saturday at Bar Medusa with one of my other favourite kiwi bands Decortica).

Hopefully some good photos coming. Sleep is on agenda tonight though!
